THAI MASSAGE IN HOUSTON, TX

As a more rigorous form of massage, Thai massage is also known as “yoga massage” or “Thai yoga massage” since the stretch positions are similar to yoga poses.

Using their hands, legs, and feet to stretch, pull, compress, and move your body, the practitioner can help alleviate your chronic pain by breaking down bands of rigid tissue deep within your muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Despite the ancient origins, Thai Massage is relatively new to Western culture. Thai practices and techniques produce many health benefits but it's not for everyone. People with certain health conditions could pose health risks. It is not for those who are pregnant, recently had surgery or have cardiovascular disease. Ask an expert at our Houston, TX location if a Thai massage is right for you.

Thai Massage- Houston, TX
WHAT TO EXPECT

In order to feel the maximum benefits of your Thai massage, we recommend a 2-hour session for every Thai massage. Thai massage is performed on a padded floor mat. Unlike other forms of massage, the practitioner does not apply oil to the body, so you will remain fully clothed.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to your session. The practitioner needs to be able to stretch your body into many different positions, so it's important that your clothing allows you to move freely. We recommend clothing similar to what you would wear during a yoga session, such as yoga or stretch pants and a loose-fitting t-shirt.

The practitioner will manipulate your body into yoga-like stretches. We take care to use the proper amount of force when stretching your body.

Communication is essential during any massage session. It allows our massage practitioners to customize the session to suit your specific needs. Please let us know of any medical conditions that may complicate the massage, any specific problem areas you would like us to address, or any pain or discomfort you feel during the session.
